"I was in a support group facilitated by Melisha who worked through my daughter's residential placement at the time. This support group has been a lifesaver for me and my daughter.  I also got to meet wonderful people in the group and develop friendships."

"I worked with Melisha while going through the hardest part of my life. She was very supportive and was there with me when I needed her. She actively communicated with my family and she’s dedicated herself to working with me and my family during the hard time as well. One of my favorite times was doing activities with Melisha. For example, we were able to talk together over lunch. I’m proud to say with the support of Melisha and her dedication to help me overcome the challenges in my life, I am now in college as a nursing student. I am grateful for Melisha and her dedication to helping me. "

“When I first met Ms. Melisha, I was only 13 years old.  She was my counselor and life coach from a community program at the time when my life was a big mess. I was always acting out, getting into trouble, and not listening to anybody.  I would leave home and my family would have to report me missing . They told me I had a mental illness and I didn’t understand myself, and I felt like no else did either. But Ms. Melisha did. She didn’t judge me. She didn’t give up on me. She talked to me like I was somebody worth helping. She came to my home alot to do crisis interventions, and this was very helpful for my family.

She worked with my BOCES school team and talked to my parents in a way no one else ever could. She helped them see what I was going through and taught them how to help me instead of always fighting with me. She showed me how to calm down, think before I act, and make better choices. She was there for me at different hard times in my life, and she always kept her word. I left High school but later got my GED and always keep in touch with Ms. Melisha.

Now, I look back and realize she changed my life. I don’t know where I would be without her support and all the coping things she taught me. Today, I am a wife and a mother of two beautiful children, and I am living a life I never thought was possible. Because of Ms. Melisha, I learned that I could do better and be better. I am so grateful.

At one of the darkest moments in my life as a parent Melisha was there to help guide my daughter and I. She offered peace, guidance, encouragement, and her expertise. My child struggled with her mental health and this trickled into every facet of her life and our family’s. Often as parents we are unsure if we are making the right decisions and even with those decisions being the best given the situation there comes guilt. Melisha guided me past my guilt and reassured us as a family that the decisions we were making were righteous. Our monthly parent groups that she initiated gave an outlet for us to connect with others struggling with the same issues. Even after my daughter finished her program Melisha continued to reach out and connect to ensure we were in a good place. Her experiences and expertise make her a great leader in her community and field.
Thank you, Melisha!

Melisha is highly knowledgeable and was a great asset in assisting me with residential placement. Her support and guidance were invaluable in school selection, navigating the complex application process, and facilitating staff communication.

Melisha has a patient and supportive listening ear and a wealth of resources.  For all these reasons, I highly recommend Bridgepoint Consulting Solutions.
